Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nuria Daly Sufis use stories as teaching tales – what better way to learn than through a story, with all its layers and levels of meaning. At a Sufi retreat many years ago, our teacher Nawab, used an ancient Han Chinese story to demonstrate aspects of Service. I was fascinated that such an old tale, could hold spiritual truths, as relevant today as they were then. So, I asked Nawab to send me the story itself and worked with it using a Jungian framework. Thus began a long immersion into five fairy tales which have become the basis of my book.
