Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Lindsey S. Frantz This answer has many layers. The seed for this book idea came to me in college (so a million years ago). I was about 18, and decided I wanted to write a book, so I wrote a long winded, winding story that did nothing and went no where. But it was book length! Then, about 8 years later, I wrote two short stories--one about a telekinetic girl who lives in the woods and another about spelunking. Somehow, after that, it occurred to me that these two stories were actually the basis for the characters in that first novel, and I built it from there!
