How do you get inspired to write?

L.E. Rogers The inspiration to write is an internal thing with me. After 30 years in police work, and running a small business, it is something I always had an interest and an aptitude to do. Now retired, it is has become a compelling aspect of my life. Part for my inspiration comes from the fact that I like to write, and I like a good story. It also comes from my past career and associations, it can come from a phrase I've heard, or a news story, and how I can conjure that into a good story.
