What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Erica Bauermeister Two best things? 1) I get to spend time with the characters. 2) I get to research things I am interested in. Right now I am reading all about the sense of smell, micro expressions (a la Paul Ekman), and mixology (as in cocktails). Yum.
