One of my dreams is to become a writer some day. Though I have this wish, as I read more and more brilliant worlds in the books, I start to think that I am better off reading than writing. The completely different but the whole universe inside the book can discourage me somehow, for I compare what I can conjure up in my imagination and what others can conjure up with their minds. Do you have any tips for me?

Hi Arisa
Interesting question.
Even though I've written a book, it still hasn't sunk in that I am an author, but I've got a long way to go to become an author who inspires other aspiring writers.
I studied drama in college for 3 years because I thought my future would be in theater, but by my second year, I realized that acting wasn't my passion, I didn't feel happy when I thought theater would be my future.
As I was writing my first book, I knew this wouldn't be a great piece of work because the books that are written by my idols are amazingly written, descriptive and are at a high standard. I knew my book couldn't compare to theirs, but that didn't stop me from getting my story out.
I believe that everyone can write a story, whether it's a short story or a 400 page story. The things that our minds come up with is just unbelievable, and you're going to have people who either love your book or don't, but don't let things like that discourage you, because in the end you can say that you've written a book. By yourself.
Arisa, if you have a story in your head, plan it and start your journey because there's thousands of people out there who look for new books to read. Yours will be one of them.
Best of luck to you
