I honestly think writing is about passion, determination, perseverance and "butt-in-chair" more than innate talent or "inspiration." It's important to read as much as you can and of course, to put yourself on a regular writing schedule-- even though it will fall apart at times! Also it's good to be kind to yourself, accept that there will always be more, and that revision is a must!
