Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kevin N. Fair Paper Airplane was actually written when I was 19. I was in college, dealing with that disease that many of us go through called homesickness. As I was looking through old pictures and notes from middle and high school, I came across a journal that I kept when I was in eighth grade (yes, guys can keep a journal too). As I read through that amazing, horrible year, I began to write. My coping mechanism. I wrote and wrote, sometimes physically unable to stop myself. And when I was finished four months later, Paper Airplane was born. After rediscovering it years later, I decided it was time to get it published (after some major surgery to the plot and writing). And here we are today.
