How do you get inspired to write?

Anna K. Lane Daydream. You know when you finish a movie or a book and you go: it could have a different ending? You wish the character didn’t do that, it could’ve been such and such? Annoying as it may be, I have always questioned or imagined different scenarios. Having ideas is the first step but not enough, as you may know. Weaving them in a story is a different thing. I read dozens of How-to-write books. I learned structuring, scene-writing, and the dreaded editing.
People have always told me: your head is in the clouds. Finding the right words to share my daydream, seeing imagined scenes and dialogue on paper, and sharing ideas with a reader are all inspiring indeed.
