Dear Techie:
I’m embarrassed that it took me a year to answer your sweet message. I’ll use the excuse that I was very busy writing my second book, My Brother Javi: A Dog’s Tale ( due out February, 2020). And that’s partly true - the other part is that I was not familiar with Goodreads mail. (Who knew?).
So, thank you again for choosing to read this serious, but important subject matter. My wish is to start a conversation because sadly one in three women and one in five men report having been sexually abused before their 18th birthday. My prayer is that readers (survivors) find this story both educational and inspirational.
I’ll be checking my mail more often.
