Judy Phillips As a child, I inhaled the works of Laura Ingalls Wilder. I still recall shivering as winters were described in The Big Woods. If I were to transport myself into that pioneer world created by this gifted author, I'd wake each day to the exhilarating hardships faced by those brave souls who made do with what they had available to them. Folks nowadays find "tiny houses" and simplifying life intriguing. Yet in Wilder's world it was just the way they lived. Ahh... freedom from the trappings of life and simple enjoyment of the beauty of nature!
