For me, inspiration is sporadic. I have a muse that comes and goes. Most often I'll have an idea that keeps me up in the middle of the night or when I'm in quiet places, like in the shower, in my car when I don't turn on the music, or out in the wilderness. Occasionally I am inspired by events or people.
