Judy Alter
Judy Alter asked Mark Reutlinger:

No question, just praise. I'm reading A Pain in the Tuchis and thoroughly enjoying it. A shiksa, I was married and/or with a Jewish man for 20 years. I always say he gave me four beautiful children and a love for kosher food. But he also gave me an affection for Jewish culture, and so many of the phrases and mannerisms and characteristics in your book strike a chord?

Mark Reutlinger Hi Judy:
I just came across your nice note again and realized I probably had never responded to it. I really appreciate your having written, and I'm especially glad you found the characters and situations in my Mrs. Kaplan stories rang true. I hope everyone who reads the books will either identify with the characters and situations themselves or, if they're not familiar with Jewish culture and characteristics, will learn something valuable about them.
As it happens, two Mrs. Kaplan stories will be coming out soon: The second book in the series, "A Pain in the Tuchis," will be reissued in print and ebook on January 12, 2022, and the third book, never before published, will be released this October 27, 2021 and is currently available for pre-sale. ("Mrs. Kaplan and the Matzoh Ball of Death" was reissued in 2020 and is still available.)
Thanks again (belatedly) for your very nice comments.
Mark
