Love your books! I do wonder about the work the team does. Are all their recorders hand-held? That seems like it would be obvious, holding up a recorder. Do they have multiple recorders on them, like spy cameras in their hats? Drones that look like birds? What about the flora and fauna? I know Max has no interest in that (she refers to "big white birds" in Egypt), but somewhere there's a "nature" historian.

Hi.
To go through this one question at a time - yes, they are hand held recorders, although very small and discreet. I did consider having something attached - somehow - to someone's head, but people turn their heads so quickly and so frequently that a lot of the images would be almost useless.
Regarding the drones - when I first wrote JODTAA drones barely existed - or if they did then I'd missed them - so I failed to incorporate them into the story. I could do so now, of course, and I have been thinking about it although I do feel that up until the beginning of the last century, any flying object would be very conspicuous even it if was disguised as a bird or insect. And I'm not sure how they'd control it - there wouldn't be any satellites to bounce the signals off. Can't you tell how ignorant I am about this sort of thing?
Yes, your point about flora and fauna is an excellent one. She did research these for her jump to the Cretaceous but the study of f & f was actually part of the assignment. Usually it's the events and the people they concentrate on. However, given they have specialist areas of expertise it might be worth considering something along the lines of a 'nature' historian.
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to write and I hope my answer satisfies. And thank you for liking my books.
Best wishes, Jodi.

A thought occurred to me as I was listening to the Elizabeth Cage series. Does the Sorenson Clinic eventually turn into the Red House clinic that we know from St Mary's? They seem to both have the same front of catering to the rich and famous while having nefarious things going on underneath.
