Goodreads asked Renee Lee:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Renee Lee Usually, if I can't think of anything to write, it's because I'm exhausted, so I'll drink some coffee or take a nap. I'm WAY into naps. Watching a movie or reading a book also helps. I also love writing little hashtag blurbs on Twitter. Having to condense something into 140 characters wakes up the creative part of my brain. I think you also have to give yourself permission to write utter garbage, and then go back and fix it later, but I struggle with that.
