Epcot (and EPCOT Center, as it was originally known) has gripped my imagination for much of my life, and that's true for so many people who've visited this bold space over the last 35 years. The park has seen so much change, though, that it's difficult to even identify what Epcot "is" — let alone what it ought to be.
It occurs to me that many people care about this place, but putting a finger on what we love (and maybe what we don't) isn't always easy. My vision for this book is to finally clarify those questions and get to the heart of what Epcot/EPCOT means to its millions of guests.
What better to tell us about the park than the attractions that comprise it? My idea, then, was to walk through the history of each and every attraction in the park and then use those stories as springboards for a deep dive into the Epcot of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
