Goodreads asked Aaron Wallace:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Aaron Wallace A writing professor of mine (and an accomplished writer herself), Ruth Moose, gifted me a little picture frame years ago. Inside, in lovably outdated word art, she'd typed, "Ruth Moose says, 'Keep writing!'"

It's the simplest little thing, and she'd probably be shocked to learn it still sits on my desk, but it's pushed me past writer's block more than once.

On the flip side, as a diehard "30 Rock" fan, I put a lot of stock in Jack Donaghy's "Shower Principle" (the idea that moments of inspiration occur when the brain is distracted from the problem at hand). Long walks work wonders.

In all things, balance.
