Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Teagan Oliver I wanted to write a book that was as true as I could get to the people of Maine and my experiences growing up here. This book was inspired by the closeness of the community and how hard they work to survive in these rural, coastal communities. Kara is every woman that I grew up with that did what was considered a man's job and did it just as well, if not better. She's not afraid of hard work or doing what she can to keep her family together.
