Daily word count goals! That's the short term answer anyway. Long term, I have people asking me when the next book will be out, so I usually have that reason to keep writing. Most importantly though, I enjoy the creative process, especially knowing that once I'm done, I will have something I can point to and say, "I made that." That's a powerful feeling.
