Tamamo asked Brandon Varnell:

What was your biggest hurdle you've had to overcome as a writer, and how did you do it?

Brandon Varnell That's... actually a pretty good question. I don't really think I've had any hurdles. I mean, I sort of just started out writing, and I fell so in love with it that I kept on writing and eventually decided to become an author.

I guess, if I had to name a hurdle, it would be dealing with bad reviews. Because I write for a specific genre (harem romcoms with T&A), a lot of people don't like my stories, so I tend to get a good deal of reviews that basically tear my books a new asshole. They hurt a lot. As much as people tell you not to let them bother you, bad reviews hurt. We authors put our hearts and soul into our writing, so of course it's going to suck when someone says they hate our stories.

To be honest, I still haven't fully overcome this hurdle, but thanks to the people who DO love reading my books, the bad reviews don't hurt as much anymore.
