Lois Lowry No sequel to Number the Stars. The actual history doesn't lend itself to that.

Interesting question, about memory...I had a very happy childhood, typical small town, intact family, so nothing stands out as extraordinary. But the time in my life when I remember the most extraordinary kindnesses was when I lost a son. People were so caring, so kind to my entire family.

That's no possible that the whole community are colourless, right? I mean the melanin, haemoglobin and carotene, which determine the skin colour--rosy cheeks, pale appearence, yellowish tone on the skin..they can't just make these pigments disappear without affecting body functions, right? HOW does colour absent from their lives?

My question is have you ever thought about making The Giver into a graphic novel as other YA authors had done to their novel? It's another format for you to get a different audience.
