There is a reference to 'soaps hanging from the ceiling' on page 271. What is that? This whole book intrigues me, footnotes and all. I read a lot of scifi in the past, and bacame uninterested in it. The Punch Escrow is scifi for the 21st century for sure. I don't know how you can top this one, but I'll be looking for more of your work.

Tal M. Klein Hah, I love the little details people find in the book! The interior design of the Kaffeine coffee shop was based on my own visit to a Turkish bazaar in the early 2000's. The soap sellers had their soaps hanging off ropes atop their stands, so that buyers could grab and smell the soaps without risk of them walking off with the wares in their hand.
