Hi Miss Lowry let me just say your The Giver changed my life forever. So here's my question for you; was Rosemary really the Giver's daughter or a father feeling since I know their Community they have birth mother and they place the children in the family? It's been bugging me for years. Please and thank you.

I like that it is a mystery, Rosemay's origin. The movie hints at a relationship between The GIver and The Chief Elder, which is a fascinating idea. But the reader..or audience is left to wonder

Your work is emotional and raw. I know that you have used life events to inspire your books, and those inspirations have been proven to be the most beloved of your writings. I've also read your blog posts and wonder if your role as a mother and a grandmother are going to come up in another piece?
