Just write, and stick to what you enjoy. With fiction it's not always about what you know, because if you don't know what you're writing about it's a great opportunity to go out and learn about it. You grow as a person from doing that. The main thing is to write, write, write, and keep going, as long as you enjoy it, that matters most.
