Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Van Fleisher The initial spark was watching my father suffer from irrelevancy. I've lived and worked outside of the USA for half my life and from what I've seen, our treatment of Seniors is poor compared with other cultures. I thought about extreme events that might bring about change and invented - in my head - a watch type device that tells people when they will die, based on blood analysis. My original thinking was that older people would become more respected because they might just take out their frustrations with impunity. There is some of that in Final Notice.
