Poetrybyanonymous asked Lois Lowry:

This question contains spoilers… (view spoiler)[ Does the house at the end of The Giver have any symbolism other than its the beginning of the new community that Jonas and Gabe escape to? I have some ideas but I want to be sure. (hide spoiler)]

Cristy LeBlanc
Cristy LeBlanc asked Lois Lowry:

Number the Stars has been my favorite book for the past 25 years. Six months ago I stumbled across The Giver and it became an instant favorite as well. These books are so far apart in likeness that I must ask: is there anything you can't do??? I believe both these books will outlive you by centuries and yet always be relevant. Thank you!

N Diestler
N Diestler asked Lois Lowry:

Number the Stars embodies what it truly means to treat others as you'd like to be treated. Do you have a memory of a time when someone was extraordinarily kind to you or your family? Would you ever consider a sequel?
