Goodreads asked Tony Pibb:

How do you get inspired to write?

Tony Pibb
It's a combination of things. Usually, I have a faint idea and then I spent some time putting down everything I do know about the idea, and then over time, I'll get more ideas until there's enough to sit down and write a draft (fancy word for two pages out of a notebook with random sentences and arrows). That's my planning for the entire process. The moment I sit down, I try to zoom in on what's right ahead, but the further away the story is, the blurrier it still is in my mind.

I do know that the fastest way to get inspired is to work on my story every day. The more I just sit down and write, the more ideas come to me.
