What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Emma Berg People-watch. Make up stories about the people you're seeing. What sort of expression are they wearing? How are they walking? Are they alone or with someone else? Are they carrying something in a suspicious manner? Why? Did they commit a crime and are trying to dispose of the evidence in a casual manner? Should I contact the police? Oh, geez, they're meeting someone else! They just shook hands! Did they exchange something? Drugs? Secret coordinates? Memes? Cat videos?!

Question everything, question the why of everything. Don't be afraid of the ridiculous and write the stories that you would want to read; trust me, you're not as alone in your tastes as you might think.
