Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nauf Alwan The idea of the whole story came to me one day through the character Sheikha. Sheikha in the United Arab Emirates is a girl’s name and is also used for “female royalty”. As for the idea, it exists in almost every culture in the world. Once a young woman reaches a marriagable age everyone around her expects her to get married and they ask why is she still single if she’s not married. So I thought it would be fun to write such a novel.
