All three books (book 4 and the two spin off storylines) are progressing, albeit slower than I'd like. I had been thinking that with 3 books, if I got stuck on one, I'd just switch to another for a while. Not exactly. It turns out it is possible to have Triple Writer's Block!
Actually, it's not exactly writer's block, because I know where everything needs to go, but I do get stuck on how to get from A to C at points, and while switching stories for a while helps, I also lose some focus/momentum and so when I switch back I have to get caught up again--regain my momentum.
In the end, nothing speeds up, it's still writing 3 books (albeit the spinoffs are about half the length of book 4 so 2 books) but I hope to have at least 2 books, if not all 3 out this year.
