How do you get inspired to write?

Michael Leask I'm finicky at times. Sometimes it's a location, the weather, the excitement from the chapter I just wrote, or the feedback, or a little note from my wife in the morning with a Nespresso pod she picked out for me sometimes imbues me with so much positivity that the writing is inspired.

I do like going to quiet coffee shops and working on my iPad Gen2 (it's slow for most programs forcing me not to procrastinate). When I am in between thoughts, I don't realize instantly that I people watch, then a new phrase or way of saying something pops into my head to which I write down for the story.

Going to the gym and using the cardio machines, talking with my wife also inspires me to write.
