Goodreads asked Evelyn Rainey:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Evelyn Rainey When you send something off and they send it back with those cookie cutter rejection letters, DON'T get depressed. And DON'T call them rejection letters. They are "Letters of Declination"; the publisher has declined to publish your book - that's all - and it's their loss. The right publisher is out there waiting with baited breath for your novel. Keep pitching!!!
