Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Holly Pritchard I spent a lot of my teenage years being engrossed in science fiction in all types of forms and a lot of what definitely played an influence on Ascension. I was also severely bullied from a very young age and because I have such an active imagination I would often imagine that I had superpowers and I'd use them to get revenge on the people who bullied me; this is what eventually formed the very basic idea of Ascension but it was all of the sci fi books, films, graphic novels that really made it into the book that it is.
