Gregory N. Whitis
I met a published writer, Aileen Gilgore Henderson, at my church and she encouraged me to write about what I know-- catfish farming and law enforcement. I also read Charles Frazier's Cold Mountain, his debut novel, and I was entranced by this book from the very first to last page. It still ranks as my all time favorite book. My daily inspirations for writing come during runs in the countryside.
