Hi Michael, great post. I'm having such a hard time to operate GoodReads, great site; keep in touch. Kharis Macey

Hey Kharis...glad you liked the post. I find a lot of authors seem to struggle with goodreads...I'm not one of them, but I've been on the site for a long time and learned the new features as they were implemented. For instance I was one of the authors in the early roll out of Ask the Author.
For those who might be reading this QA. Here are some resources that should help them learn about Goodreads...and keep in mind in the power point presentation there are a bunch of links to videos that Goodreads staff have posted out on Slideshare that are all very good and helpful.
* A Power Point on Goodreads I did for a Writer's Digest Conference Presentation
* A bunch of posts of tutorials I did on reddit
* Video from Goodreads
* Slideshares put out by Goodreads
I hope people find these helpful.

I just finished the Riyria Revelations after a mad bout of speed reading and I absolutely loved it. It would really mean a lot to have a couple answers by the author. 1. Whatever happened to the necklace and copy that Marius had made and why was that thread left unresolved or did I miss it in my hurry to get to the end of the book? 2. Did you purposely not reveal what Melinda's mother did with Royce and his medallion?

It seems you succeeded to retain many readers with your good stories and nice level of interaction on the social networks. With such a fan base, I wondered if you are worried before releasing a new book. Are you confident, knowing it will be a (small or big) success for sure, or do you close your eyes, hoping someone will maybe like it?
