Hi Melaine i was just wondering is Steffan from the Hagenheim series the same as Steffan from the Noble Servant? Or are they related in any context thanks :)
Melanie Dickerson
Hi, Tiana! In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best idea to name my hero in The Noble Servant "Steffan" but my thought was that I was not going to make the brother "Steffan" from the Hagenheim series into a hero and give him his own story. Yeah, I should have known better, since I'm always changing my mind. Anyway, no, they are not related at all. The Steffan who is the Duke of Wolfberg from the Thornbeck series is not in any way related to Steffan Gerstenberg, who will be the hero in the 10th Hagenheim book, which will be a Pied Piper story. He captured my attention so much while I was writing Mulan's story, which is about Steffan's brother Wolfgang, that I knew I wanted to write his story as well.
Thanks for asking! I hope it won't be too confusing.

Guten Tag! I love your books almost as much as I love Gabehart Gerstenberg . That's a lot, believe me ;) Anyway I was just wondering why you chose to do such similar books in different series? Like your Medieval series is very similar to the Hageheim series. Yes they are in different regions and times, but why did you choose to not include all the tales in the same series?

How do you deal with people who think you are weird for having a "unrealistic" dream? People are always saying how my friends will go far in life and the moment I say I want to be a novelist, I am automatically deemed ignorant because I have "unrealistic" expectations. It hurts sometimes but when they see me with a notebook and ask, "Writing again?" I answer. "Always" every time.
