Goodreads asked Elizabeth Lynx:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Elizabeth Lynx To be a writer you must first write, then write and then write some more. If you wish to be published and want others to see your work then the other 80% of your time should be spent marketing yourself and getting involved in the writing and (your genre) community. That doesn't mean blasting everyone with information about your book. It means making friends (facebook, twitter, goodreads, etc.) and talking about likes and dislikes, favorite authors, etc. Once people respect your opinions then they will take a peak at your books.
