Where did your inspiration for 'Bitter Awakenings' come from?

Kester James Finley My inspiration for 'Bitter Awakenings' came about due to my love of several different things compiled into one fantastic adventure. Growing up, I loved comics and anything relating to superheroes and "teams" where everyone contributed something to the overall plot or situation. I also grew up loving fantasy, magic, and the supernatural. I wanted to include as much as possible into my book while ensuring that the characters felt real, faced real threats, and ultimately dealt with life beyond their normal world in a sweeping epic that could showcase it all. :)
