Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jodi McIsaac When I was researching the Thin Veil series, which is based on Irish mythology, I couldn't help but learn about Irish history at the same time. And what I learned captivated me--so much so that I couldn't wait to dive into it. I couldn't decide which time period to settle on, so I chose a time traveling heroine so I could research them all!

Was it difficult to expand on these mythological characters? As a kid, I would've loved to add to my favorite books and stories by putting my own spin on them, but I'm sure I wouldn't have known where to start. Did you find that intimidating at all?
