Just finished the first novel in the Pyrrhus trilogy and I am going to purchase the second volume on Kindle to day. Great work and an engaging portrayal of one of the Ancient Worlds most interesting figures. I cannot help comparing your Pyrrhus with the man portrayed in Alfred Duggan's superb "Elephants and Castles" about the life of Demetrius, the "Besieger of Cities" Any news on volume three? Ian Crouch Hi Stuart, Thank you for your email, and your kind thoughts. I am glad you enjoyed the first volume, and I hope you enjoy the second book. Demetrius was a remarkable figure. I have not read Alfred Duggan's book, but I will seek it out. Pyrrhus and Demetrius has quite a relationship. Beginning as close friends, and then becoming rivals as the politics of their time demanded. Volume III is a work in progress, and will probably take a year to finish.
