Hi Miriam. I see that you live by Washington DC. Was just wondering how you picked the Black Hills and reference Sioux Falls, SD?

Hi Leslie!! I'm so sorry that I didn't see your question sooner - I'm so glad that I can answer it now! I grew up in Sioux Falls, and loved visiting the Black Hills with my family, and it was just the most natural place for me to set the story. :) My family moved to SF when I was a kid, and then lived there all the way through when I graduated from HS. My family has since moved, though, so I don't get back to visit as often as I'd like. :) Thanks for asking!!
