Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Laurie Stevens Since my books chronicle the healing progression of the main character, a detective suffering from PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder) I knew I had to have something to do with family, since reuniting and "trusting" in his family would be the next step in his recovery. So, I made much of that and weaved it into the mystery he is solving. Besides all that, the villain in the first book makes a reappearance. This book is due out 2014 and is called The Mask of Midnight
