Sometimes ideas pop into my head when I hear a news item. I then go on a mental tangent that causes me to miss the next item or few! Other times I sit in front of a blank screen and feed my brain with chocolate until something interesting happens. If you stay quiet and bored long enough, usually your mind will come up with something.
