Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Lea Sims Running from Monday was a beautiful impartation from the Holy Spirit. In a season where I was seeking God about next steps for ministry, writing fiction was nowhere on my radar. Thirteen years in women's ministry serving and leading had brought me to a place where I believed my next season would mean writing Bible studies and devotionals and continuing to teach. While I believe those things are still on the roadmap, God dropped Running from Monday in my heart in a powerful way and in doing so, he directed me to this genre and the power of storytelling. I've never had a writing experience like it--where I spent three to four months transcribing a story from the heart of God with zero outline and no idea where the story was going. Every writing session involved me sitting at my laptop with my hands hovering over the keyboard and the declaration "this is your story, God" on my lips. It was a beautiful partnership.
