Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Candace West My mother's family come from the Arkansas Ozarks. I grew up hearing many wonderful stories from my grandparents about their lives and their family's stories.....particularly my great-grandmother who overcame the physical abuse she suffered from her stepmother. Years ago, I began to develop an idea about a sixteen year old girl from the Ozarks in the early 1900's who discovers she was kidnapped at two years old.
