What authors are your biggest literary influences and what have you learnt from them?

There are so so many! Every time I read something new, I love it and absorb a bit of it and it makes its way into my work.
When I was a kid I read C. S. Lewis, Diana Wynne Jones, and Christopher Pike incessantly. Christopher Pike and Stephen King influenced me a lot in terms of writing horror. I think Christopher Pike is pretty underrated. He has a tremendous sense of pacing and plot twists.
Otherwise, it's hard for me to name a single influence, because I really do think everything I read makes its way into my writing eventually. Thanks for asking! :D
