Goodreads asked Tara Winters:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Tara Winters Writer's block is a pretty common occurrence. I have a couple of solutions when I feel like I am stuck in a scene.
1. I re-read and edit past pages. When I cannot seem to get the muse in gear for what happens next, by reviewing what I have recently read and stay moving on edits, I can at least feel as though I am not wasting time.
2. Ideas are all around us. TV shows, other books, articles and people all are inspiration. When an idea strikes me, it is often inspired from something I have recently seen or watched.
3. Sometimes, I just start writing and let the energy flow. I usually have an idea of what is going to happen next but when I can't get there, I will just write. I have had many instances when the story has just unfolded from the characters. Remember that whatever you write, can always be changed and edited so it is not like anything going into the story is set in stone.
