Mark D Swartz
Mark D Swartz asked C.B. Matson:

How many words did you typically write for a Kindle Worlds book, and how long did that usually take?

C.B. Matson Hey Mark, haven't been on the GR home page in a while... Quick answer is: an average of 150k. That said, the three I wrote were way too long. Next book out, "Maug" is only going to be about 65k. Much more manageable. "Shasta" will probably be in the same range. "Verdigris?" We'll see.

Now that KW is gone (sniff), I'm trying to stick with a 50k to 100k word count. 90k Seems to be the sweet spot, and way easier to edit.
