Hi Jodi, I get the National Geographic newsletter and today's one had an article on the Coopers Hill Cheese Rolling - which immediately reminded me of Max. Includes a film of it. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/travel/destinations/europe/united-kingdom/why-people-risk-their-lives-chasing-cheese/ Thought you might like to see it. Obligatory ?
Jodi Taylor
Not obligatory, but an astonishing number of people risk life and limb every year. So much so that the authorities, having unsuccessfully tried to ban it, have now posted notices everywhere saying both spectators and participants do this at their own risk. You can tell how much notice people take of them by the rising popularity every year. And it's not just because we're Brits and bad at acting in our own best interests - people flock in from abroad, too. I've been - and until you've been there in person you can have no conception as to how steep that 'hill' is.

Hello Jodi,
Thank you for the wonderful books you write. They are such a pleasure to read.
My question is around Dr stone. I never saw that coming at all and can’t help feeling like I want to know why ? Why did he do what he did? Why didn’t he care about st Mary’s and how could he do what he did. He always seemed to do the right thing until he didn’t and I just can’t help feeling like it’s unfinished business.
