Goodreads asked Heather D. Nelson:

How do you get inspired to write?

Heather D. Nelson Um....everywhere? hahahaha My first two non-fiction books (God Had Other Plans and Hail Mary for Peanut) were inspired by my life. Struggles and challenges that I was moved to reach beyond myself and try to help others.

My short-read collection of Essays (Just Stop: 10 Things Everyone Should Stop Saying) was legit a soapbox moment. I had been ruminating on my little kennel of pet peeves and I finally decided that I could produce something productive that might help everyone aim a little higher in communication and human connection.

But my fiction, ooooh so much inspiration. My Fantasy WIP was inspired solely by the concept of elementals and druidry. I'm loving how it's coming together. But I have a SERIES of Romance novels I'm toying with inspired solely by Adele and the Beatles music!
INSPIRATION IS IN THE VERY AIR AROUND US ALL THE TIME!
