Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Andrea Rothman My debut novel, The DNA of You and Me, took years to develop. I can't say that it was one idea or even an idea at all that inspired it. Science and the competitive landscape of science research were always in the back of my mind as I wrote, but mainly the choices and the sacrifices people ultimately make, and how in the end it is so difficult to know oneself and much less to know others.
